Have you heard the hype around Eclipse Season? I love that videos of astrologers with clickbait-type hooks go viral in our current world. When I began my journey as an astrologer, I often received confused looks while patiently describing that astrology is more than horoscopes and instead a cosmic weather forecast. It's exciting that, 14 years later, the current energies have seeped into the collective conversation.
Here we are in a world where mercury retrograde is basically in the dictionary. It's so fun to see how humanity has evolved, but at the same time, it's crucial not to believe all the hype. These cycles simply mirror what's unfolding within ourselves, because we are made of stars.
Here's an exert from the Eclipse chapter of my book, Analogies, Energies & Celestial Bodies, which I wrote so you can be your own astrologer:
"Eclipse energy gets to the point, like a chiropractor who enters the room and aligns everything with one movement. Similarly, the eclipse is a straight sprint upwards versus a winding mountain trail. It can be exhausting and intense, but we usually don't see a chiropractor until we're sore or in pain. All this to say that the energy of eclipses can be extreme".
My main message for the next month is to keep tuning into yourself and working out any old kinks or aches. Eclipses are epic moments to track timelines. We can look at current cycles and prepare for future ones, and this eclipse season from September 17th through to October 2nd offers us an opportunity to gauge where we are and what's to come.
The visual coming to me is a relay race; the runners are all different versions of ourselves, and there's a handoff occurring. The first athlete finishing their segment began in July 2023. Their track has been to heal codependency. We've been discovering who we are, not just who we are with others. We've all braved through something, and it took courage. It's been a battleground in many ways, and these versions of ourselves are warriors. Whether it's been life, love, or a relationship with self, we've got some scars and soft spots. Like the runner almost at the finish line, we're tired. But we are in the lead and have set this next version of ourselves up for success.
Firstly, congratulate yourself. Acknowledge yourself. Give yourself a round of applause for the course you've run since July 2023. Get yourself a gift, or at least give yourself some space to rest and relax.
Yet here's the key about a relay: the handoff of the baton has to happen safely and strategically. The second runners (the upcoming versions of ourselves) are excited to move forward. But we will be disqualified if we take off before the current runner crosses their finish line.
In a sense, this handoff period will run from September 17th to January 2025. The older versions of ourselves still have their hands on the baton. They remain officially in the race, yet the new versions of ourselves are participating, too.
It is a time of transition, which requires practice and patience. Do not rush things right now; observe and appreciate where you are. While eagerly getting psyched for this next sprint. We must be here now, focused on moving forward but mindful of what the past gives us; this all happens in the present moment.
We do not want to get too far ahead of ourselves, but there's so much excitement coming for this next runner that I want to talk about it. If the versions of ourselves from July 2023 till now are warriors, these new versions, who are currently alive but will officially take the lead in January, are the veterans. They are the heroes, the survivors and the retired warriors.
These parts have profound life experiences under their belts. We've seen some shit. These experiences will become our wisdom, yet we must give ourselves space to heal.
Beware of bracing yourself against life because you aren't on the battlefield anymore, which will take time to sink into. Life wants to get softer; the energies coming have a kaleidoscopic, psychedelic, iridescent vibe. It's magical, and it's smooth. But we also aren't here to escape the struggle or forget what we went through.
We're on the edge between karma and dharma now. We choose our next direction. We have a massive opportunity to evolve and move beyond old hurts, but we have to allow our experience of reality to become updated, rather than repeated. Remember, there's time. We will be using this energy until 2026; there is no rush. We have to be fluid and flexible.
When I was in high school, my mom was in a car accident; she fell asleep driving and crashed her car, but because she was sleeping, her body was fluid, and she survived, even though the car was totalled. I know this is an intense analogy, and it's not a predictive one, but if we let ourselves fly around instead of bracing against making contact, we come out untouched.
We have to hold ourselves in a soft space. We should not run away or avoid our feelings but instead create a peaceful place for the potential held within our pain.
In 2025, we will start to build something with all that potential, and maybe life is taking off for you, and opportunities are unfolding now. Never put your life on hold for a planetary cycle. But don't rush to solve things if life feels like a mystery. It's all coming together, but for now, congratulate what you've accomplished, confidently cross the finish line, and gently pass off the baton from warrior to survivor (and here's a reminder from my previous post: we're in the survivor all-star season).
If you’re feeling extra achy, or even excited about what’s lining up, one of my fav clients does refer to me as her energetic chiropractor, and I’ve got spaces in my calendar for sessions in the coming weeks.
When life feels wacky, leaning into a cosmic narrative helps puts things into perspective. It’s a good time for an adjustment. I’ve got North American and European time zone openings, and would love to support you.
“SO grateful I booked this session with you!!! As I said on the call, I could already feel how healing it was and how much it will help my mindset and focal points as I head into this year and those beyond. I'm so so so grateful. I don't know how you do what you do, but it is MAGIC. I can't wait to continue to dive into this reading as I digest and process everything!” -a happy client
I also offer sliding scale pricing, so if financial barriers exist for you, respond to this email and we’ll make it happen.
Sharing again that I’ve joined the Retreat Team at Shell Beach Surf Shop. This summer, I was considering hosting a retreat in Nicaragua, which I now call home. So, when invited to be the Wellness teacher at The Between Sand and Sea Yoga & Surf Retreat in Nicaragua from February 1-8, 2025, I felt a divine chiropractor lining things up.
It’s all about sharing the country that has my full heart. From fresh foods to yoga, surf classes, amazing locals and experiencing Nicaragua, this experience will be effortless and easy. We've got the best of the best lined up, and I would love for you to be my guest!
I know some people can feel like Nicaragua is a far away, exotic, mysterious place, but it's one of Latin America's safest countries, and we've got everything planned out; Managua is the capital, an easy flight from Miami, LA, or Houston.
