Remember You're Made of Stars

There is so much more to it than just astrology.

I used to say I write about astrology. I still call myself a professional astrologer, and I definitely use the hashtag #astrology on my Twitter account. But my message for you today is that there is so much more to the Universe than just astrology. Sure we can talk about the transits, the zodiac signs and our birth charts. Don't get me wrong, those are powerful tools that open doors within our minds and lives. Yet there's something powerful about simplifying it all.

We are made of energy. This becomes clear when we tune into something beyond the physical world, perceiving outside the realm of our five senses. Being energetically aware means being mindful of our emotions and what we feel in our bodies. It's about listening to how our energy centers respond to the environment and taking action with their guidance in the right direction. -Analogies, Energies & Celestial Bodies by Shannon Hugman

An energetic awareness means knowing we are made of literal stardust. We are little Universes (or big?) walking through the waking world, blessing this 3D world with our unique presence. That's a big deal! It deserves attention today, and maybe even every day.

By acknowledging the cosmos within and outside of us,

"we become artists of self and sky, recognizing these vibrations as threads of an energetic tapestry. The main archetypes to explore are the celestial bodies. We can imagine that each body represents a character, thus pretending that these themes and symbols mirror an aspect of ourselves" -Analogies, Energies & Celestial Bodies by Shannon Hugman

Stick with me here; if we are made of stardust and the celestial bodies are mirrors for aspects within ourselves, then we too are orbiting through space. Lately, I've been pondering that. Have you ever felt like you are at the right place, at the right time, surrounded by the right people? What if we’re all following an orbit or a magnetic pull through the waking world. When we stop and acknowledge our stardust DNA, we can redefine what we're here to do.

Maybe that means not focusing on all the doing and simply remembering to shine.

These past 2 weeks, the celestial cycles engaged in some far-out themes. We could have felt wonky, exhausted, or maybe synchronicity was all over you. It could be a dark night of the soul type time or a confusing Alice-in-Wonderland vibe for others. We are learning to go beyond thinking of ourselves as just humans. Our bodies are made of the stars, and that cosmic dust invites us on an adventure.

Basically, this is your reminder to remember you are so much more than your problems, bank account, or accomplishments. This is a relief for some and humbling for others. Chew on the idea that you're an explorer moving through space. Look out in awe as you move through the world, have fun, and remember you are more than you think.

I recently wrote an article for Thought Catalogue and shared 4 ways to connect with the Universe. Here they are:

  1. Look at the Moon

  2. Live by the Seasons

  3. Connect to the Elements

  4. Remember You're Stardust
