The Field Beyond Right and Wrong
Pluto in Aquarius, a divided world & creating space for change
Every year I’d blow out the candles, wishing for world peace and a cure for cancer. I was a kid, and it didn’t feel like a big ask. It felt natural and obvious, like those things needed to happen. I’ve never shaken the feeling, this sense that there’s got to be a better way.
Making sense of the universe is what I do, because when we know better, we do better. That’s my goal this lifetime; not to save the world, but to save myself and show others how they can too. This is the intention behind The Stardust Initiation: A Guidebook (the first product I’ve launched since 2019, with more info below).
This morning, while watching the sunrise, I remembered those birthday wishes. I was shocked because that little girl’s dream of peace somehow felt tangible, like I was glimpsing a timeline in the field of potential.
Those wishes don’t feel possible scrolling through the news or social media. Still, my heart whispered: “There’s more going on here. Something greater is happening”. I could talk about this forever. I want to find like-minded people and brainstorm solutions because I can’t be the only one feeling this way.
This Rumi poem captures where I’m at:
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field.
I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase “each other” doesn’t make any sense.
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.
Recently, Eclipse Season asked us to wake up and get real so, don’t go back to sleep. For me, it’s time to return to my younger self. I want world peace. I want cures for diseases. I want new experiences, not just for myself, but for all of humanity.
Yes, I still want to be a Substack Bestseller. A New York Times Bestseller is welcome too, but those goals seem irrelevant next to little Shannon’s birthday wishes. Nothing lights me up like imagining humanity evolving into a new collective state of being, one that values and supports life.
Beyond Right and Wrong
Instead of fighting for what’s right, who’s ready to evolve the conversation? Who’s ready to talk about solutions, possibilities, and ideas, instead of dwelling on how terrible humanity seems? The direction we choose to focus on, like riding a bike, is the direction we’ll go.
I grew up around a king of “pontifying.” There was no room for discussion, just a lot of black or white, right or wrong, true or false. I learned to silence my opinions and stay quiet to keep the peace. I am one of millions, maybe billions.
But you know what happens when we push ourselves down? When we deny ourselves the ability to think or converse around a topic? It’s not peace. It’s division.
For me, that looked like a divided self. I thought one thing but presented another. It was easier to lie and let the other person be right, or give up arguing but resent them in my mind. That avoidance was self-destructive. Now, at 34, I know it’s better to be real.
I get it. The topic of conversations, thoughts, and opinions is heated, especially right now. But that’s kinda the point. It’s charged because it’s changing, and the current energies are waving us forward like airport traffic control.
These energies aren’t asking us to submit to what we strongly disagree with. Instead, we’re faced with the challenge of residing in a new place, a third space beyond duality. Because refusing to fight disarms the villains we’re defending ourselves against.
Instead of duality traps, this third space is one of creativity, innovation, and potential. Fighting never brings peace. In this alternative space, we have broader perspectives. We speak to be understood, and we listen to each other. I know it seems impossible and far away, but a few years ago, did you think people would be marrying AI?
Astrological Call to Evolve
Evolving is the goal. Pluto’s transit through Aquarius until 2043 shows just how malleable and adaptable our reality is. It’s okay if this feels hard and confusing. When we want to be right, we’ll find evidence that proves our opinions because reality adapts depending on how we look at it.
We’re all living in individual simulations shaped by our thinking. That person you can’t agree with is doing the same and finding evidence why you’re wrong. It traps us in a loop, like two mirrors facing each other.
The coming years bring heavy Aquarian energy, and like the song, we need some “harmony and understanding”.
2025 doesn’t feel harmonious, but why would it? We’re at the beginning of Pluto’s 20-year cycle, so like a Monday morning, there’s work ahead.
This energy is revolutionary, and one thing we can all agree on: something needs to change. This revolutionary energy thrives when we take an Aquarian approach.
Things like:
Detaching and observing the bigger picture
Exploring far-out ideas and concepts
Giving ourselves space before responding
Choosing to love the greater good
To love humanity is a revolutionary act. You’re an early adopter because loving humanity’s current state might make you look a little crazy, and others will tell you all the reasons we’re doomed. But 2025 is infinitely more complex than binary thinking.
Instead of complaining about the world, help someone and do something for your communities. If everything looks dark, you’ve got to create light. You’re projecting this simulation. That’s powerful. And with power comes responsibility.
Remember, Aquarius energy is rampant. It’s the early adopter. The crowd isn’t thinking like this, but eventually the masses will catch on. Right now, be a visionary. See beyond the chaos. Look to the future you want to create. Be a force of love in this world.
A New Layer, A New Path
We’re entering darker days and retrogrades tempting us into polarity. But instead of getting stuck in ruts, let’s own our darkness, deepen our relationship to self, and evolve our lives.
Growing up in Canadian winters, fresh snow would cover the streets, erasing old tracks made by the flow of traffic and giving a chance to make new ones. Are you fighting to be right yet stuck in an old track just because everyone else is following it? Even when a fresh start is possible?
Innovation is here. We see it everywhere, and it’s just beginning. Solutions we can’t even imagine are at our fingertips, and nightmares are equally close. It just depends on what we want to dream up. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m bored of the right and wrong ruts. I’m enraged by injustice, but instead of blaming and hearing who the villain is, I want to champion the heroes.
Pluto is a generational planet, influencing many generations to come. Will you work with this fresh energy? Will you create new tracks? Will you choose to listen and speak from a place of understanding? Are you ready to evolve your conversations, thoughts, and perceptions of the world?
The collective consciousness is ready.
There’s something special about you if you’re here reading these words. You’re made of stars, connected on a cellular level to these never-before-seen astrological shifts. These cycles are spiraling within us. And you’re the early adopter who’s here receiving it, the forward thinker, the brilliant artist, the one who changes the world.
The Stardust Initiation: A Guidebook
If you feel the pull of something greater, The Stardust Initiation is here to meet you. It’s the framework I’ve been living by, and now it’s your turn to explore, create, and lead in this new way of being.
I’m Shannon Hugman, and since I was a little girl, I could guess people’s birthdays. I wasn’t raised in a spiritual household, so I didn’t know about zodiac signs or astrology. But there I was, on the playground in second grade, simply feeling when someone’s birthday was. I was always right, and honestly, it freaked me out.
Fast forward a decade. While in a long-distance relationship, I turned to love horoscopes to soothe my heart. They didn’t help. But that search led me to astrologers talking about where the planets were now.
Something massive clicked.
It wasn’t like I was learning. It was like I was remembering.
From that moment, I dove headfirst into astrology. What I discovered has completely transformed my life beyond anything I could have imagined.
Here’s what I know: when we connect to the Universe within us, everything changes. When we change ourselves, we change the world.
That’s why I created The Stardust Initiation. This isn’t theory. It’s a framework I’ve tested in my own life, something I now live by every single day.
At my core, I’m here for Team Humanity. This guidebook was born from that intention: to evolve the conversation and help you tap into your creative potential.
I can’t tell you exactly how to live. I can’t hand you all the answers. But I can show you the framework so you can step into or keep walking the path that’s already coded in your Stardust DNA.
The Stardust Initiation is a 260-page PDF guidebook you’ll receive via email immediately after purchase.
Here’s a taste of what you’ll find inside:
“Here we explore the strands. These are aspects of creation within every human being. Yes, we’re individuals creating our own lives, but we’ve incarnated together during these historical moments for a reason.
We are walking parallel paths. We’re
in this together. We are allies. An army, a gathering, a group of people taking to the streets. Why do it alone? We aren’t doing the same things, but we share the same purpose: to evolve humanity.
May we appreciate the experiences which led us here and choose to live like this is ‘the lifetime of all lifetimes.’
We’re writing new stories and creating happy endings.
That is what The Stardust Initiation is: an invitation, a liberation, and a celebration.”
