Whether it's unplugging the router when our wifi is running slowly or jumping off a zoom call and coming back in, the wisest troubleshooting is stopping and restarting. Are you feeling the need to unplug and take a moment to recalibrate? A flexible attitude which trusts the process is valuable right now.Â
The fresh starts occurring bring a desire to move forward. We are on our way, but if we rush to get there, we make it harder on ourselves. Imagine we are going on a trip, everything is booked, we've got our boarding passes, and the plane is on time. Our plans are moving forward. But how we roll with the them makes all the difference.Â
Will we take our time to pack, or will we frantically throw everything in our bags and rush out the door? Chances are we’ll forget something is we do the latter. The point isn't to be organized or on top of everything. Instead, recognize the importance of slowing down, even when we feel a rush from the external world.Â
Certain things can't be pushed, whether we're frantic or not. There's a natural rhythm to life, and now is our chance to align with it. Let's break it down into three phases.Â
1. First, we have to stop. This can be really easy or really hard. It's the drained battery and the lagging browser. It's the inevitable need to unplug and wait for the system to reboot. It's the frozen Earth after months of winter.
2. Next, we plug it back in. Now the apple on the screen pops up, and we wait to come back online. The sun shines longer, and the snow starts to melt. This happens in its own time, and there's usually a flood of relief when we return. It's refreshing, it's exciting, and it's just the beginning.
3. When the connection is secure, it's all about our attitude moving forward. Do we feel confident in this new start? Or are we questioning, doubting and waiting for the worst to happen? How often do you have to ask, "can you hear me? Can you see me?" before beginning the Zoom call and doing your thing. This is the moving forward. The attitudes and emotions behind our progress make all the difference. This is the confidence piece. Now we are walking on solid footing. Once we know the ice has melted, we don't need to worry about slipping.Â
There's an evolution to how we unthaw and move forward, and we're all on different schedules. But this year, more than any equinox I have witnessed, is a fresh start. True, that's a theme every year during the equinox, but if you remember an email I sent back in January, I referred to March as our new feature film. And here we are. Time flies, doesn't it? The opening scenes are starting.Â
It's exciting, but it's also a little nerve-wracking. We are still determining where it'll go, which is part of the entertainment value. The temptation to run back to the old and familiar may surface. But imagine wanting to return to the dark, cold frozen sunless days of winter instead of moving into the spring. It's natural; progress can't be helped, life goes on, and all we need to do is put one foot in front of the other.Â
Now that I am back in the Americas my calendar availability has shifted. Check out my new opening and book a session here.
“Shannon has helped me discover and maximize the unique lens through which I see the world. I used to struggle with self-sabotage and doubt, and would often just try and push through despite the pain because I thought that was what I had to do in order to have a successful life and business. I always leave a session with Shannon understanding how the energy of the universe is flowing, and I how I can use my free will to integrate with it. As a result, I feel empowered when I used to feel crazy, trusting when I used to be scared, and excited for the future, no matter what it holds. In these crazy times we live in, astrology is a language that we as humans all need to learn to speak. Shannon is my trusted teacher!"Â
